比較級を利用した慣用についてまとめました。
・The harder I study English, the harder I feel English is interesting.
（英語を一生懸命勉強すればするほど、英語の面白さを感じることができる。）
・More and more people can comunicate with others.
（ますます多くの人々が、他社とコミュニケーションをとることができるのだ。）
・English is all the more useful because we can comunicate with people in the world.
（世界中の人々とコミュニケーションをとることができるからいっそう英語は役に立つのである。）
・English is all the more useful for we can comunicate with people in the world.
※allは意味を強調する働きがあり、特に訳す必要はない。
・I cannot believe friends much less others.
（私は、友人を信用することができない。まして、他人を信用することはない。）
・Tom knew better than to tell a lie for his wife.
（トムは、妻に嘘をつくほど愚かではなかった。）
< no more [ less ] ~ than … >について
この表現は、「ＡはＢではない。」と同様に「ＣはＤではない。」と例を出すことによって、より明らかにＡ＝Ｂではないことを証明する表現となる。
・This test is no more difficult than singing the alphabet.
（このテストの難しさはアルファベットを歌うみたいなものだ。）
※「アルファベットを歌う」という、明らかに難しくないことれ例示することによって、テストがどれ程簡単であるかを表現している。つまり「このテストは、アルファベットを歌うくらい、まったく難しくない。」ということを意味している。
・I am no more foolish than you.
（私はあなたと同様に愚かではない。）
< A is no more ~ than B >は、「Aは、B同様～ではない。」ということを表現しているため、両方とも否定になっていることに注意が必要である。
・The man is no less strong than a tiger.
（その男性は、トラに劣らず力強い。）
・My students is no less rich than a friend of mine.
（私の生徒は、友人に劣らず裕福である。）
・Mt. Fuji is not more high than Mt. Everest.
（富士山は、エベレストよりも高いというわけではない。）
・Say your experience about your school trip not more than 2 minutes.
（修学旅行でのあなたの体験について２分以内で話してください。）
・Please buy my PC not less than $1000.
（1000ドル以上でパソコンを買ってください。）
・That is no more than anothe example of food.
（あれは、食べ物の１つの例でしかない。）
・These politicians have no less than ten million dollars.
（これらの政治家は、1000万ドルもの大金を持っている。）

原級の慣用表現について
・I’ll meet you as soon as I can.
（私はできるだけ早くあなたに会いに行きます。）
→書き換え
I’ll meet you as soon as possible.
※「as soon as possible」を簡略化して「ASAP（エイサップ）」と表現することもある
・We might as well stay home as get out of here.
（家をでるよりもここで待つほうがよさそうだ。）
